GOD Damn America

God Damn America indeed! Obviously “Americans”, or at least those who are afraid of black people, don’t know how to listen to a cross-cultural distress call. The vast majority of the American people are too ignorant, by choice, too blind, too deaf and too politically correct to listen to what the Honorable Reverend Wright was saying in his inflammatory pulpit rave. The US federal prisons  from 1995 to 2003, had a 49% growth in inmates for drug offenses.  A justice department report from 2006 shows that males incarcerated in the 25-29 age group were, 8.1 percent Black men – about one in 13 – compared with 2.6 percent of Hispanic men and 1.1 percent of White men. Black women were more than twice as likely as Hispanic women and more than three times as likely as White women to be in prison at the end of 2005.

Is it really so hard to understand why Reverend Wright might harbor a little animosity toward a white ruling class that has been keeping blacks in chains and prisons for centuries? Is it so difficult to comprehend that Reverend Wright would get the impression that the Unites States Government is somehow complicit in the drug trade? Mr. Oliver North and company (CIA) didn’t really trade guns for cocaine did they? Mr. North wasn’t really convicted of any felony crimes was he? Mr. North wasn’t selling guns to terrorist groups in Iran was he? Okay, all that happened a long time ago. Today Opium production and export is at a record level in Afghanistan. This war on terrorism is sorting out just fine for the drug lords as they harvest record crops and carry new weapons, while the US provides security for yet another nascent democracy of dope. Columbia defender of freedom, faithful friend to the USA and watch-guard against the communist in Central America stands as the world’s largest producer of Cocaine. Which incidentally helps create all those little black, white and Hispanic crack babies that grow up to be inmates. And Mexico, an interesting mess as it slowly transforms itself into a gang-state, while President Calderon pleads constantly for the US to stop consuming drugs and stop supplying weapons to the gangs (war lords) in Mexico. Thank god for the Second Amendment. Need I mention that the US is the largest supplier of weapons to the gangs in Mexico? Puzzling how the US can build a fence to keep workers out, in the name of National Security, all-the-while the most destabilizing element of this society are the drugs and guns on our streets that continue to flow and find their way into the hands of future inmates.

Is it all too difficult to understand why people would be shouting and jumping in the pews when someone tells the God-Damn Truth? Barack Obama I appreciate your speech, but you were way out of line chiding the Reverend Wright for telling the God-Damn Truth. His view does not reflect the distant past that you alluded to but to a very real present. If the Reverend Wright or anyone else for that matter resents white people or our government because they are tired of being fucked over by a white ruling elite and the corporations they own, you won’t find anything but praise from this white pew. Now lets get back to the campaign so we can elect Barack Obama and see if we can transform him into a ineffective do nothing, line the corporate pockets, corporate surrogate, cracker-ass, like the rest of our elected officials.
