Our President is a Thief
The Domestic Automotive Industry wants a bail-out loan to the tune of $34 billion dollars and this will likely be the begining of the hand-out. Congress voted a $700 billion bail-out package, not a loan, including many billions of “sweeteners” used to leverage it’s successful passing through the Congress while thier constituents said “hell no”!. The Federal Reserve has already given away that much in other aid to the financial industry and there is no end in sight. I opposed the bail-out and continue to oppose it. It will go down as one of the great looting of America.
In the meantime the Automotive Industry wants a bail-out loan to rescue it from decades of incompetence and production of gas-hog vehicles. Labor has conveniently been riding the excesses of the consumers. Automotive Workers have emmassed some of the most lucrative benefit and wage packages in the world. All the while the consumers pick up the tab when they purchase a new automobile. I don’t support greedy unions, not all are greedy, but the Automotive Workers have bent over the rest of the country while others have suffered and they have flourished. I did’t see them stepping in arguing for a bail-out for the electronic industry when I got laid-off due to a plant closure in the 90’s. Why the hell should they expect anyone to bail their leaching asses out at this point. They are part of the problem not the solution. Loose the Automtive Industry and the greedy Auto Workers if it can’t stand on their own. Let the Auto Workers shed the oppulent retirement packages and live like the rest of us. They have been and continue to be a longtime drag on therest of us.
Finally, the most disturbing thing about all of this is, Congress is raking the Automotive Industry over the coals making them beg for a “scant few billions in loans”, while they gave away the farm on the financial bail-out. Here is where everyone should pay attention. Obama and the core of the bail-out culprits were the largest beneficiaries of the financial industry contributions to their senate campaigns. The finance Industry gave over $500M in contributions to the congress. The Automotive Industry and Dealers contributed less than $15 million dollars. Labor, not just automotive contributed $100 million to these campaigns. If congress gives a loan to the Automotive Industry they are giving it to labor not the Corporations. The Corporations haven’t paid their dues.
The punch line is, Obama and the rest of the thieves in Washington are bought and the tax payer is getting rolled over and fucked one more time.
